Themometer trouble code?

the themometer in my console began acting funny about a month ago. Now it shows SC where the temp should be. Any idea what this is? (my 96 caravan says the same thing!?) The compas is still fine.

The temperature pick up has gone bad. The sensor is located behind the bumper in about the middle. Its a really simple change. The sensor is about $32 Canadian and takes about 10 minutes to change it.

That's kind of what I was thinking! Now I have to buy 2! One for Mrs. ASAT's van and one for the jeep!!

The "SC" that its displaying means "short circuit" . But yeah, sounds like the sensor is toast
