Anyone done this? Know of someone who makes parts for this? Have any idea's concerning this? I'd like to do it on my '97. Thanks folks for the ideas & posts you may send.

I don't know if those links will work. On the fiberglass page, scroll down to the green jeep, it's the same as on the jeep page. This is the only cherokee I've seen with dual shocks in the front. It's something I've been looking at doing for a while. It is possible, there is just enough room up front, though it has to be completely custom. I've already done the lower shock mounts, though they may have to be modified. Basically I reinforced the LCA mounts with 3/16 and 1/4 plates. The 1/4 went on the outside of each LCA mount. I made the plate so that it went extended a few inches more than the original LCA, to give me more room. My original shock mounts on the front axle are long gone, chopped of a while back. Then I made a mount that mounts to the side of the LCA bracket (the 1/4 side) just behind the LCA bold hole. I'll try to get some pictures when I get it all done. Honestly it's a hassle and not needed unless you do lots of fast desert-type offroading and melt your shocks regularly (i've melted my share, and now I'm melting my Bilstein 7100's so I'm doubling up.) Hope this helps some.

I done this on my 93 a few months ago. I made a custom lower mount from the rear sway bar mount from the axle and reinforced the shock tower with a custom plate on the top. Its worked great so far except the two shocks are but a few mm apart. Its been driven hard and has held up great and worked great. It would work better if you had rancho 9000's.

Ya, it's just hard to see the second shock, They are side by side instead of front and back. See the two reseviors?
