Just picked up new air filters for the two TJ's and was very suprised that they have foam pre-filters mounted on them. I like that idea. I lined one of them up with a new mopar paper filter for the XJ and the size difference is the TJ filter 1/4-1/2 in narrower than the XJ, same length though. Going to explore that more and I may change out my XJ's airbox for a TJ one. Do any of the aftermarket airfilters for the Xj have this prefilter ??? Oh, they are frams by the way, fram air filters are the only ones I allow on the property. The Purolater I looked at for the TJ does not have the pre-filter.
