did a search last night and this is what i've come up with: trying to make a tire decision

ltb's have a softer tread compound than Tsl's
ltb tread pattern is a little different, but a little more aggressive
they obviously come in different sizes!
some ltbs, harder to balance than TSL's

thats it!
oh, when they say the larger third lug is further offset, does that mean it sticks out farther to the sides?

TSLs are pretty soft and LTBs are even softer. I think either are a good choice for a trail rig. On road the both suck, ride loud and rough , wear out quick. LTBs are made in mexico out of a combination of natural and synthetic ruber. The 33x13.5 Ltb might be too wide for an xj, they are geared more twards the wrangler crowd. 34x10.5 might be just right for an XJ with atleast 6" of lift and some fender hacking. Otherwise 33x10.5 TSLs will be fine too. :skull2:

Actually, the bias TSL's are more aggressive than the LTB's. At least the 33x12.5 TSL is more aggressive and has a deaper tread than the 34x10.5 LTB, plus it is slightly taller and about an inch wider.

just called interco, and they said the same thing... he mentioned that the LTB compound is actually harder than the TSL, the opposite of what everyone is saying. as far as mileage concerns, he said that the bias TSL, will maybe last a little longer, but it is comparable. Overall, the 33.12.5 TSL, has a more aggressive tread pattern than the 34x10.5 LTB.
