I just wanted to thank Craig Houghtaling for the writeup on burping the closed loop cooling system.
My lifetime water pump spit the bit Saturday :flame: so I replaced the pump and belt. I replaced it 2 1/2 years ago also but didn't have an air pocket siuation that time. Well damned if I could pop that pocket so I went upstairs to the computer, logged into
, looked into the archive and voila....there it was.
I removed the coolant sensor, started the engine and added coolant until I heard a large belch from the sensor hole. Shut it down, reinstalled the sensor and topped off the reservoir.
