i emailed both eaton and detroit about their e-lockers for dana 30 and 8.25 29 spline.

Mr. Sechler-
We appreciate your interest in our products.
We expect have the Dana 30 Electrac available before the end of the year.
It will be among the first models with internal activation and will allow
you to retain your factory differential cover. An 8.25 Electrac is not
planned at this time. We are just now prototyping the 8.25 Truetrac limited
slip unit. An 8.25 Electrac will not be built unless demand increases
substantially(we have had very few requests for an 8.25 Electrac).

Aftermarket Sales Manager
Tractech Inc.

Mark:

The Dana 30 ELocker is not scheduled for release until next year. The
Chrysler 8.25 is not scheduled for production yet.

Regards,

Jeff Phillips
Eaton Automotive

so if you want/need a e-locker contact them so they will make one.

Better post this on a dakota newsgroup then, for the limited numbers we could generate I don't think it would justify the R&D..

well, while you are waiting and hoping, you could just swap in an 8.8 and install an e-locker in this. Last time I checked, I think the e-locker for the 8.8 was basically the same price as a Detroit.
