I am building a t-case skid for my 92 with the 242 case. My main ? is how much clearance should be between the skid & the case. Right now with the plate bolted to the crossmember there is 3/16" clearance. I don't really think this is enough. TIA. JIM.

What material are you using for the skid? If it's thin enough to flex quite a bit under load, you'll want more room than if it's made from something really stout.

It is 1/2" al. plate. I havn't made a brace to the "frame" yet, so I can still pry it down some to get more clearance. JIM.
