Convertible XJ

Ok, first off. I am new here, as you can see by my puny post count So hello.

I was told to come here for advise on this. I have been thinking about making my 2 door XJ a convertible, and I found this http://www.truckn-store.com/product.asp?returnURL=default.asp&ID=58030

Since a roll cage will be required if I dont want to die if I roll over. Where abouts do I weld the cage?

Also, does anyone have pics of something like this

kinda curious about that product...are they trying to sell a kit to make a Cherokee convertible?

btw....If you go topless without Rockwell axles, make sure to keep the doors on or you'll fold like a taco

oh..and if you build a cage don't forget to use triangles.....

Seams to me that if you make the top removable ie you have thought of putting it back on during bad weather, That if you go off roading with the top off then when you try to put it back on it would not fit properly even with a roll cage... Just a thought... Dont take this the wrong way Ive though of doing the same but I just thought that it would be pointless to do all the work and it not properly seat afterwards

after looking at the product you may want to ask the manufacturer if it is for a pickup or for a cherokee...under the picture it does say pickup...
they may not know the difference
