Spring Reversal?

Ok, I am almost done welding my rear fenders and quarter panels back together. I cut for TJ flares and now the rear axle is not centered in the wheel well anymore. It needs to go back 3-4 inches. How much extra wheel base will it give me if I flip the springs around? Probably too much. I would go measure but its dark and pooring outside and my tranny is sitting in my front yard.

don't know exactly how much, but much more than 3 or 4 inches. I'll just throw out a guess of 8-10. a search would easily turn up the offset and front and rear lengths, then do a little math.

borton did that when he redid his xj. I cant remeber howw much it was but I know mj springs will move it back about 2 inches.

from the center pin to the center of the short side eye is ~23"
from the center pin to the center of the longside eye is ~28.5"

disclaimer... these are 2000 oem springs on a shelf collecting dust and I've had a few.
