OK there is only 3.5 months left until NW fest. I am curious how much do you have to do before you and your jeep are ready for Naches?

The MINIMUM I HAVE to do is
1. New Tires in the 265/75/16 flavor
2. Finish/Install my sliders. 65% done
3. Transfer case skid plate. still in design stage
4. Trim and bumpstop adjustments

And if my truck sells before then party1:
5. go to 4.5 inches
6. finish building my LCAs and UCAs
7. SYE and Driveshaft
8. Gas tank skid plate.

What do you have left to do?

Have to do? Really nothing. Things I'd like to do:
Dana 44 Locked
Dana 30 Locker
Rear Bumper
Rock Rails
Possibly new tires if they wear enough
TC skid and GT skid if I have extra $$$$

Hmm, just did the front brakes and wheel bearings...

To-do:
1. Have the 4.56 gears installed up front.
2. New Spicer 760 u-joints and shafts put back in after gear install (saves a LOT on R&P install labor that way!)
3. Put in new ball joints.
4. Swap rear 27-spline 8.25 for 29-spline with 4.56s installed.
5. Install new brake line for 29-spline rear.
6. Reinforce uniframe with 3/16" angle iron and gussets for RE control arm drop brackets.
7. Install new skidplate/crossmember and get that t-case drop out!
8. Install new motor mounts.
9. Fab/install steering box brace.
10. Obtain spare axle shafts.
11. Tune-up and coolant flush.

Possibles:
1. ZJ disc brake conversion for rear axle. (Need the brackets and some core calipers, please keep your eyes and ears open!)
2. Custom winch bumper.
3. JKS adjustable control arms.
4. Install power inverter.
5. New wheels/tires?
6. .50 cal turret in roof.
7. CARC paint.
8. Runflats in tires.
9. NBC decon kit.

If mine is not ready (very likely), I'll have to come down with my girlfriend and her 2.5" lifted 91 XJ (pretty stock). If so, rockrails, skids, towhooks, etc will be needed. If my body work is done, and I can bring mine minus my custom axles, I will run it as is.

it should be called the money pit list... well i guess its not too expensive, i don't spend money anywhere else.

4.56's installed
relocated e brake
bumpstop refinement
rock rails installed
new tires mounted
new u 760's in d30

maybe....
c-rok steering brace
rear quarter armor
trans gauge
otk conversion

brandon

i forgot to mention mudflaps... tickets suck!

i've got a currently stock xj, do i need to do anything to it to go on these trails? i'll probably be hard for money in a few weeks ,what works very well and is not to expensive? i'm thinking about a lift and larger tires, i'm thinking probably 3.5-4" of lift, i was curious if there are any out there i can later upgrade to a larger lift rather then just buy a new setup to go larger. and how much would this all run the lift and tires and anything else you guys think i need to run some of these trails.
