Well that’s the problem i haven't been able to get a hold of any one on the committee yet and we are running out of time. So what I would like to do is get an idea of what every one would like to have and go from there.
Thank you,

Although I am on the committee list, this trip is going to be missed by me.
As far as chow is concerned, bulk hamburgers patties (frozen food section at any grocery store), buns from the bread store, and you could probably get some bulk individual bags of chips there too. Inexpensive way to get supplies.
I hope this helps. Sorry I'm going to miss this trip.
Thanks,
Dan.
PS Costco might also be a good source for the supplies. :dunno:

Had assumed, at around 5 bucks apiece, we were talking burgers/chicken, or something that went moo at one time. I'm not picky, I'll just sit in the corner and growl if someone gets too close. Of course, if you drop yours, you better be quick, cuz, on first bounce, it's mine. Truly, doesn't matter, we're there for the friends, as much as the vittles, anyway. If we've got some vegetarians, then sure, maybe they better speak up, and we can adjust. Side dishes, whatever's quick and easy. If it's beans, lets have the raffle first, so we can vacate the area :P

We have a source for the meat right? Besides chips, there is condiments naturally; cheeselettucetomatoonionpicklesmayomustardspecials auce. A trip to City Market will cover such things easy enough except maybe the specialsauce in wich case I'll offer to bring it. For sides, I'll eat anything (not off the ground - poomba it's all yours) and can't cook :gag: so whoever has prefrences, ideas, or secret family recepies, post em!

Cool this is all good info looks like hamburgers, chicken, and a few garden burgers. How about some hot dogs for the kids? I am not sure how many of you have kids.
Also should we have every one bring their choice of drinks
or I could get a few cases of caned soda from Sam’s club
As for sides I guess we could do beans, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, garden salad what do you all think about that?
Second is there a way we can get a total on who will show up including the Colorado guys
And Jack you are more then welcome to flip for me it looks like we will need all the help we can get:chef:
Thank you for all the info keep it coming

Bryon don't forget to count me and Julie in on helping you out. We're coming down there even if we have to bring Big Red or even the wifes (not plural for you out of staters) stock XJ.
The Rock Limo is the shop getting repairs done right now but there's A LOT more broken stuff than originally thought.

OK. I think we need to try and do a head count here.At least as good as we can. Then I still think when we get down there on Friday we should have anybody that wants to eat bring there money and tell us how many. Then we can buy the meat and other stuff in Moab so we don't have to store it and we will know exactly how much to buy.

The burgers will be supplied by ACE so that's a non-issue, it'll travel well with some dry ice to keep it company for a few days. If we want to add chicken breasts and a few veggieburgers to the mix, Sam's Club has Tyson chicken breast that are priced fairly and taste good, should have greenpatties as well.
If we sell meal tickets for the sole purpose of keeping track of head counts, this will give us an accurate number, and we can plan on a little extra for those that want extra helpings. How does $4.00 per adult and $2.00 per child sound? Chime in and share your thoughts. A head count up front is good for estimating.

What should 4 bucks get you? A hamburger doesn't cost that much but a dinner would cost more. Should we say a burger and a couple of sides? Maybe beans and potato salad and you supply the drinks. If we need to include drinks the price might need to go up. I just don't know how much you can feed someone for a set price.

Yeah we've got the burgers taken care of courtesy of your friendly neighborhood Albertsons. :)
Maybe we should get a head count as well as a meat preference, chicken or hamburgers or hot dogs (or fake hamburgers :laugh3: ) to give us an idea of what we need to get.

$4 should include a burger of choice or chicken, beans, tatersalad, chips, carrots, dips, etc. Maybe something sweet for dessert if the $$ allows. Bring you own drinks.
We can't be expected to offer the variety of a restaurant or caterer, let's just stick to the basic picnic stuff and have plenty for 2nds. Sound good?

Sounds great to me. My wife brought up a good point though. Most kids would much rather eat a hot dog. I think we will bring some just to make sure.

So far it maybe just me. I have a new job selling phones at Qwest so I won't be down until late Fri staying sat going home sun . I may have 2 other adults with me although thats not firm yet. just let me know what you need me to do . I'll help where I can. 4.00 or 5.00 for adults sounds good to me kids less. I have the raffle and meal tickets so we don't need those, 2000 of each.

does anyone know what slickrock CG has for a BBQ area? I know that some one reserved it for us but is it just a spot or do we need to bring some grills with us? IF we do I should have some extra space on the trailer but I don't have a grill. :confused1

Slickrock has a dedicated area called the Coyote Cafe that has a roof over picnic tables. I'm not sure, but I think they may have a small grill. We usually bring a grill or two, depending on the number of people we cook for.

I willbe either pulling a enclosed trailer or a 20 foot flat bed behind the moterhome so I should have room to put a grill or two on one of them. If anybody wants me to haul one down just ask. party1:

We have the Coyote Cafe area reserved at Slickrock Campground on Saturday night. We'll need to bring our own grills, but they have picnic tables under an awning for our dining pleasure.
