View Full Version : For those with custom rear shock hoops, what did you do to the exhaust?

I'm in the process of "fine tuning" the heap and am currently relocating the axle mount of my rear shocks up to the axle. To keep the same vertial travel I have to fab up a rear shock hoop however my rear exhaust is right smack in the way of where the shock hoop should go.

How did those of you who are running rear shock hoops re-route the exhaust??

I flipped the muffler over so the exhaust side was close to the frame rail and built a new tail pipe section using mandrel bent sections of tubing. It's a PITA, but well worth it.
