.....by all.

Thanks to Gary E, Jes, and Jack for a great Fordyce run.

Jack, you did really well for your first real hard-core trail. Too bad the ARB bumper is not Fordyce approved. I can't believe your crazy ass drove up and back to SF in one day!

Jes has decided the Atlas is just not for him. It's too low. It'll be for sale at a greatly discounted price very soon.

Gary was Gary, smooth and no worries. He didn't even have to stitch anybody up this trip!

Carnage total: One broken valve stem (the tire variety), one cut MTR (not leaky, yet), one OEM hunk-o-junk tie rod.

I got no pics, hope everyone posts up pics soon.....

It was a great trip, Fordyce trail has some great obstacles and the water crossings were fun. We should of got one of Andys favorite group pics and we should of ran it during sierra trek

Crash is officially coveting a 5.0 after watching some 5.0 Broncos "Get it" on winch hill 1

ok on to the pics

I took the easy way around the water hole route, boy was my wife disappointed in me!

[img:77eefe739a]http://home.attbi.com/~6mach9/garywc1.jpg[/img:77eefe739a]

My wife didn't get a good pic since she was in Jacks jeep on the first water crossing but he gunned it going in and got water all the way up to the windshield base, he is running a snorkel though.

Sorry Jack could not resist this Hi C shot on the way to winch hill #1 good thing he has the full on skid package or we may of seen some 10-30 can opening going on.

Andy the excavator and proof that anti wrap bars are bad for wheeling as the mount catches on a rock.

Great pics!! Looks like it was a good time. This is definitely a must do trail on my list. Apparently I need a locker though, huh? Jack's rig sure has grown up since lasts years Bassi run!!! Lookin good!

Did you say you did the whole trail in one day?

Started at 8:30, and we were sitting in camp at Meadow Lake at 4:30.

This, after getting caught behind a cadre of slow ass, old school, spring under-and-I'm-loving-it, CJ's.

GAWD, I hate front leaf sprung vehicles with a passion.

A locker is VERY helpful if you don't want to spend the day at the end of a strap......

I have to report more carnage, my vaccum resivoir bottle did not make it through the trip  luckily that cabinet full of extra junk you should of thrown away years ago yielded one that fit nicely

Fun trip, definately doable in about six hours if you don't get stuck behind a bunch of SWB covered wagons!
And what about the couple in the bling bling TJ with the trailor? How friendly they were.

Here's Jack practicing his submariner skills...

...kids, don't ever try this!
Here's Jack at the top of winch hill 1 after he high centered, then almost rolled it while being pulled off by Gary.

Sorry for the poor quality of my photos but with my crappy dial-up it's too slow to upload the high-rez versions.

great time

i had a great time , thanks to all there. i got home at 11pm. i spent an hour at a rest stop filling up my tires with my arb compressor. the truckee stations air was out of order. the compressor got so hot that i could not even touch it. dont forget about my broken chrome light trim from that damn arb bumper. also now my dash lights dont work, theres a rattle from the l/f suspension and my rear diff cover got rolled a little. i gotta take it easy on the gas pedal. i think i need an atlas. jack

Yes, you do.

[quote:5228e82b24="jack SF"] i think i need an atlas.[/quote:5228e82b24]
No, you just need to come wheeling with us more. Your rig is fully capable, you just need to use it, dent it, and break it.
THEN get the Atlas!

Jes

I actually just got around to airing up at cisco grove, best gas station compressor I have ever used filled em up fast.

its for sale to along with a home and property, hmm can you say career change?

That trail looked rad. You guys have some nice built XJs. I can't wait till I'm done with mine. I'll have to go on a trip with you guys. Are any of you running a fullsize r/c 44 up front with the rubicon express TJ long arm kit cause I have some questions about the location of the upper control arms. Keep up the good wheelin and get some.

I am running a narrowed FS Ford 44 with TJ arms. 60" WMS to WMS.
