D44 Parts Interchangability

Are most (or all) parts of D44's from different trucks compatible with each other? I picked up a rear one from a '72 Scout - it was pretty rusty, so I'm replacing everything. I still need to get the wheel cylinder pushrods, but the local Checker's doesn't carry them - or most other parts for it for that matter. Are the ones from the XJ D44 the same style?

I really doubt it. Check out some of the binder clubs for info. International seemed to have a better idea on most things and not much can be swapped accross. Also, almost every manf. had something differnet for brakes, spindles, hubs, etc.

I THINK most of the carrier parts associated with the pumpkin are interchangeable. However, axle shafts, wheel bearings, brake parts etc. will all differ. Jeff
