D44 axle seal?

Can I press off the bearing collar and bearing to replace the outer axle seal? Or do I have the destroy the collar {cut} and bearing to replace the seal? It's the rear axle from an 88' XJ.

I,m going to say you will need to replace the bearing and collar along with the seal.Thats the plan on the 87 D44 I need to fix.
