Mepco All Jeep Show

Just Got the information:

Mepco All Jeep Show will be april 3 2004 at Mepco located at 5241 south 300 west from 10 am to 3 pm. Pick up entry form at Mepco and return it by March 20th Entry fee is $ 15.00 fee includes entry and a T shirt. For more Information call Mepco at 266-3726.

Seriously though, why do they ALWAYS have this ALL JEEP show at the same time as Jeep Safari week in Moab? You'd think that someone would put 2 and 2 together and figure it out, then move it to another date.

I was at the show last year because I decided against the EJS madhouse.
The year before that I was in Moab and met Brian R. for the first time while running Golden Spike. I and also met Bryon R. (the other one) that year while filling up the Jeep.

That's OK. You only show up for the "Show and Shine" events anyway. :D

I talked with the event organizer last year about this very thing. He told me that MEPCO minions "discussed" it and decided that that weekend was still "in fact" the best weekend for it. :dunno: If you ask me, it is so the real jeeps can't come (as they will be in Moab the first weekend of safari) and all the poseur jeeps will make it as they all show up to Moab the second weekend to show off either (a) Their "pretty" jeeps and all the steel horse mods they put on over the winter, (b) their girlfriends and their fake tans and/or boob jobs, or (c) both!

Settle down Brian R. We are all poseurs in our own special little way, including me (I've gone down the second weekend for the past seven years!!!) I was just making a point that I thought it was stupid to hold the Jeep show at a time when all of us could not attend, geez.

Robyn called and got my address. I received the invite the other day, both Julie and I plan to attend and would have anyways even if it was earlier in the day. :D
My home computer crashed last week so I've been out of the loop for a bit. I also lost everyone's email addresses. (I'm writing this from work)

Anyway on the topic of the Jeep show, in years past Larry Miller was involved and it was hosted at Jordan Common with a HUGE area for plenty of display vehicles and spectator parking. Have you guys seen the size of Mepco's parking lot? It'll fit a dozen vehicles at best.
