Urgent Motor/ Tranny help please!!!

Help!!!

I just got a line on a 2001 xj motor and tranny for a great price...I wanted to double check that it will bolt into my 92XJ provided i use my sensors, intake, exhaust, etc...

can anyone verify this for me? are the trannies the same (aw4?)

The Long block is the same; the intake and exhaust may be useable as is - it appears similar to the 91 - 95 setup as far as sensors, etc.

the newer intake is said to boost HP.....I see no reason why it wouldn't fit....the tranny should be an aw4.....if it has the t-case you may want to swap your's out...the newer t-case is a few in longer......if all else fails pick it up some one will need it I'm sure..

I know that the TJ switched the aw-4 to the TF-999, don't know if jeep did the same for the XJ for the newer years!

don't think so.......my 2000 has the aw4 and the dealer told me that the aw4 was the only auto tranny put in the newer xj's
