parts re-use

I have a 1986 XJ with a smashed front end, but the rest is OK. I would like to get another Cherokee and use this one for a donor car. I think the body parts will all work, but don't know about the rest.

Will the seats, dash etc. fit any pre-1997 XJ?

How about the engine, brakes, AC, etc. It's a 5-speed 2.5 4 cylinder (just rebuilt). Will it easily mount into any pre-1997 XJ, even the ones which came with other engines and transmission?

The seat rails should have changed in 95 or so - supposedly not interchangeable with the earlier ones.
