Power Windows

Ok I've already read all the posts on the power window regulators not working, but here's my problem. The front driver side doesn't work. That's not the different part. The passenger side doesn't work at all from the switch on the passenger side but it does work with the controls on the driver side. Would that just be a broken wire on the passenger side or what? If that's the case I thought that the driver linked to all the windows and combined with the wire already running from the window itself. Hope that made sense.
