NP231C or NP231J???

i think you need the j look on yout t case back side on the left should be a tag it will tell you

All Jeeps use the “J” version; the “C” version is for GM stuff. Some of the earlier Cherokees used cable speedos (my ’91 has electric), but that shouldn’t be an issue for you. It boils down to how long you want the drive shaft to be. The shorty one will let you have a longer drive shaft for improved driveline angles and less vibration. Either way I’m pretty sure that you will have to have a new drive shaft made. Both kits are an improvement over the stock set up with a lift. Like everything else, it depends on what you want to do and how much money you want to spend.
