I'm searching for detailed instructions, either in print or on the net, conceringn re-gearing and setting up a differential. I've done this before, but it's been 20 years or so, back when I used to work as a mechanic. Needless to say you forget a thing or two in that time. At any rate, I would greatly appreciate it if someone could point me to the right place. I'm replacing my Dana 35 with a Dana 44 and at the same time re-gearing and adding a locking carrier.

Thanks,
Robert

you need a shop press with a bearing splitter,

an inch pound torque wrench.
impact gun
dial indicator on a magnetic base
dial calipers
various small tools.

its no hard just time consuming.
one thing that you really should have is a case spreader for the dana 44
thats just a few things. its late and I am tired.
just got done installing a d44 with an arb. I have two dana 30's to get done this week.
