Ya Dan, too bad about the work thing cause it was a nice day to wheel in the snow. Mason and I had a good time and it was good to see support from some NAXJA members as well.
Anyone for a Little Sahara sand dune trip in Feb? Dan still has a trailer full of firewood............... Jeremy, get that AW4 in yet?

I was thinking of heading in that direction that weekend, however I'm planning to head to moab twice already this year. On the other hand the San Rafeal Swell has been calling to me for a long long time. Old Woman Wash, Iron Wash, Ernie Canyon, Temple Mountain, Devils Racetrack, Black Dragon Wash, these places are begging to be explored before it's too late, they are in grave danger of being eliminated by anti-recreationists, and like moab offer hiking and mountain biking opportunities. I think I will divert toward the West when I hit I-70 and start exploring the swell....

Wow - are you serious?
I just planned a trip down there with Mikal and Jeremy (don't know your NAXJA handle, bud) for that same weekend. I'll have a 6 week old baby with me, so we should be sticking to the easy stuff, but we'll be there. I'm just going to run the street tires (31") but she'll still handle most stuff...

I'll have my wife and a year old baby along as well. If I do any of the harder trails I'll leave them back at the motel. :D Will be there Friday through Monday.

Man I had both my kids out on 4+ trails when they were both 3 months old. Maybe I am just a bad father :nono:

Nah, you aren't a bad father. I'd do the same. But 6 weeks is a bit different than 3 months. My main concern is that he can't hold his head up yet. When he can, he's ready for anything.
Really, the difficulty of the trail isn't my big concern. The bumpy trails that constantly throw you side to side are. But, with 3 more weeks to toughen up, he should be ready for most stuff.

Sorry, I thought you said a year old kid. Yeah I don't think I would even be up to taking a 6 week old out on the trails. I know if I tried my wife to tack me to the wall by my you-know-whats

I was down there two weeks ago, lots of snow. I got on a fin that had some snow and it got spooky real fast. But I would go again.
