I had a 90 Jeep cherokee with vac. front diff---blew the tranny. I just bought a 89 limited with no vac. and I am confused. It sounds like it is stuck between 4wd and 2wd. I have a loud clicking noise coming from the front end. When I put it in 4wd the sound does not go away and the light goes on and off but the front tires grab. Please help!!!!!!!! I did check the axle joints and they are good. Please help me to understand how this system engages. Thanks
