Good to hear people wanting to get out and wheel. If you've got a trail ride in mind, post up a date and time. Each member has equal say in what goes on in our club. Don't wait for someone else to start the ball rolling and don't wait for any ok from the BOD. You've got an idea, run in mind, post it up. Having a BOD is a simple formality. What makes this Chapter work is the enthusiasm of each member. You post up a run, we'll try and round up drivers for it.
Jeff picked April for a big run in Moab so that we can prepare and reserve the time off if need be and get a good turn out. Our Chapter meeting for April will be that weekend in Moab, probably around a campfire after a good days run.
As the weather gets better, we will be holding our Chapter meetings to coincide with a run rather than the way we have been having them.

On that note, anyone have an idea for our next Chapter meeting in March? Perhaps meet up for a breakfast somewhere near where we might be doing a run? I haven't done Mineral Basin but would like to.

The point I really want to get across is that our Chapter Forum here is under-utilized. Get your ideas out here and let's talk about it. Check back in here when you can and see how you can contribute.

Thanks Brian for bringing this up. It's a very valid point. Let's wheel! :wantyou:

Those attending the meetings know the secret locations of our upcoming runs..........;)

I see your point Brian, last thing any of us want is a chapter that has lots of meetings but never wheels......but since we've only been an offical chapter for 38 days, we're not doing too bad. And since we want to be supportive of the U4WDA and their events, as we want them to be suportive of NAXJA and our events, I'm encouraging all local XJers to attend the U4WDA run this Saturday.

Joe has a great point for everyone, if you want to wheel more, then get involved in planning a run. We have started putting together commitees so it won't be a solo effort, and they can be as formal or informal as you want them to be.
See you on the trail on Saturday! :wave1:

When I said we should do breakfast sometime someone spoke up and said we should go wheeling afterward. Sounds great to me(if I ever get mine on the road again). Anyway I could go wheeling every weekend. Wouldn't bother me a bit. All anyone has to do is say "hey lets go wheeling!" and I am there :passgas:

Closest wheeling I know of is up Farmington Canyon but even then there's nothing difficult. Of course it might be different with snow?! XJblue and I checked it out up there pretty thorough last summer and couldn't find too many difficult trails or obstacles.
If you guys know of something around Ogden or so, I wanna go.

Belive it or not I FINALY got it running tonight. 7 months is a long time to be without a jeep. After I got the new detroit in I got looking and found the three bottom spring leafs on the drivers side snapped in half. Luckly Alcan is going to fix them for me.
