How is your battery mounted?

PIcs please.. ive got my optima so rigged inside my 93 XJ, i need to know exactly how its supposed to go, and be secure, no normal battery trays fit!! small area to work with...

how doesn't it fit?? I got a significantly bigger then stock orbital battery under my hood, and the only thing I had to do was get taller batery tiedown posts and I was good to go.

My optima red top fit in my 93", stock tray with stock tie downs in stock location no problem, you just have to reverse the bracket at the front tie down so it bends up instead of down. Does that answer your question or are you talking about mounting in a different area? different battery?

Optima's have a slightly smaller footprint than a stock battery and are taller.

I did the same as xjblue there, flipped the brace and put it in. One of these days I might figure out a more elegent solution, but it holds up well.
