I have to replace EVERYTHING as far as brakes goes on the rear of my '91. It has ABS. I've done this on non-abs vehicles before. Are there any special proceedures for bleeding ABS brakes? I will not let the system go dry while I'm working, I'll just need to remove air and replace the lost fluid.
TIA

You can bleed the brakes the same as with non-ABS. You should bleed down the accumulator first by pumping the brake pedal (engine off) about 30-40 times. As you have already stated, make sure the system doesn't roundry while bleeding, or you will just introduce more air.

Thanks! I saw something elsewhere about having the brake pedal depressed the entire time you work on it. I haven't found that anywhere else so I thought I'd check.
