too much pinion angle?

On the Dana 44 I installed recently, the pinion angle is right on after adding a 6* shim. I've read other places that if the pinion is TOO steep, the bearing doesn't get lubed properly. Is this a problem on a D44 like it is on a 9"?
Yeah, I know...I worry too much! :anon:
TIA!

I have been told several times it can cause problems. I've always done my best to overfill it some. Makes a mess though.

If your real worried about it pick up a reverse cut D44 cover. The fill hole is about 2" higher. Since the vent line is on the tube make sure you leave some room.

Thanks Lincoln!
I swapped in a HP cover yesterday. It's also a LOT thicker steel. I'd have to REALLY try to dent this thing.
Thanks again for the tip!
