Hey kids, wanna play in the snow?
I'm going to do a little bit of playing in the snow this weekend. The plan is to head up 2N02 from Pioneertown into the Big Bear area, once there it's still a little up in the air where we'd go, I'm open to suggestion but would like to keep it on the not-extreme side because I've never done snow before and I'm a'scared!
Anyway, I plan on taking 2N02 up on Saturday, probably late afternoon, either camp or find a motel in Big Bear, then run around and play. I'm open to changing my plans if anybody would like to join me, even to the point of not hitting 2N02 until Sunday morning.
If you plan on coming out remember to bring snow chains, I'm sure they are required on the mountain. Alternatively you can take 2N02 both there and back to avoid the snow chain restrictions.
Let me know if you want to play with me.
Required Equipment
Front and rear tow points, receivers are fine.
Stock should be okay on this run, 2N02 is a green trail, beyond that is up to discussion (If we have stockers we'll keep it green)
CD Radio is suggested but not mandatory.
Directions to 2N02:
Take I-10 to Hwy 62 North (Highway 62 is just East of Hwy 111)
Take 62 appx. 20 miles, you will enter the town of Yucca Valley.
Gas up in Yucca, there will not be any more services until we are in Big Bear City.
Turn left on Deer Trail/Pioneertown Road (Deer trail turns into Pioneertown road, I'm not sure what the signage says these days).
Take Pioneertown road into Pioneertown. It's an old western movie set, once you get in town the Pioneertown Bowl will be on your right hand side, can't miss it.
