Can the newer 4.0 engines with coil packs be converted to distributor type ignition?

Could you do it?Probably yes, with an earlier wiring harness and computer!
Would you want to do it?I dont know why,it is a very excellent system!
Could you get away with it?Not if you have to deal with "Emissions Testing"

Just wanted to know all my options when the time comes. Guess there's now way to adapt the coil pack system to the Renix system????
