Thanks to all that came out on Saturday to show support for this new chapter and to provide feedback. We had a great turnout, 28 drivers of which 15 were NAXJA members. Some brought family as well, so we packed the house and it was good to see this much support. I know of 5 more NAXJA members that weren't able to make the meeting, so our chapter is off to a great start.

We are nailing down a few of the neccesary items before we become official, but know that the ball is rolling forward. Our first official Chapter meeting will be held on Jan 17th, and we will target the 3rd Sat of each month for these. Future meetings may also be combined with an outing, trail run, or service project.

For those of you that didn't make it, there was a motion to nominate BOD members at the meeting, which the members did......followed up with a motion to elect BOD members.......which the members did. Then there was a motion to nail down the name of the Chapter......which the members did.

We'll have a more detailed update on the outcome of the meeting and minutes, as well as an official chapter announcement when the National NAXAJ BOD finalizes the approval process.........how's that for a teaser? :laugh3:

Stay tuned and thanks again for all the local support, we are gonna have a rockin' chapter!

I want to say the 5th was Tom R., he's in charge of tracking down slackers...

THAT WAS MORE APPROPRIATE than anyone outside of UT culture will EVER know!!! :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3: :laugh3:

I can't believe I missed out on Green Jello with shredded carrots......that should be the state 'salad' or something. Write your local legislator......we have a state 'pot' why not a salad?

Tom R..................

I'm just in the middle of moving and changing jobs and etc., etc., etc. etc. Shoot the next one to me @ mbryson@ubtanet.com That's my 'new' ISP that will work. Just in case anyone asks, I'm off the Wasatch front and will be moving to Roosevelt (yes, way the flock out there, kind of by Vernal). I should have some new trails scoped out PDQ (and probably a new rig---D60's under a YJ--but will keep the venerable XJ as long as the 4.0L will hold out{she's not in ideal health} as I really like it) and you guys are welcome to wander out here when I get a little more 'settled' and oriented. Good looking terrain out here.

Okies, here we go. I DO read these, but ya know, what with the senility thing..

Pres: Jeff Turner.
VP: Tom Roche
Treasurer/Recorder/pimp: Joe Fairchild
Event Chair: Kim Casper
Land abuse Rep(J/K!): Jerry Harris

We had 28 folks sign in, 15 members, some of whom might have been lawyers, so..we'll keep an eye on 'em. And yes, I'm painting the rock rails in an unventilated space, why do you ask?
Everyone, ya need to get Ace an updated email, as Kim's already moving forward on things we can do as a group.

Man, I'd love to go out Vernal way, never been out. Wish I knew more trails around these parts.
Thanks Marc, I'll include you in on the updates. The YJ thing we can forgive. It's not like you've joined the round headlight crowd or something. :)
