best place to mount a tow hook in front

You need the towhook brackets before you can attach. Look at Rusty's, Tomken, or the dealer (expesive).
Rusty's sells brackets and hooks for about $75. That's the cheapest I've seen.

I got my tow hook brackets for free of a 91 xj in a scrap yard...i was going to go with rusty's before i found these

The best place to mount a front tow hook? That's easy, the best place is on an ORGS SBS. The SBS is a brace kit that boxes in the frame around the steering box making it bulletproof, it also comes with a tow hook bracket built in.
