Annyone know of a place that can test or rebild an 87 ecm. I was figuring a decnt electronics shop, but is there a specialist anywhere. I would like to get it repaired to have as a spare, but my real interest lies in what failed in the first place. I am taking a shot and thinking that it had something to do with the CPS input.

I got a spare one from the pull-a-part for $8.50. I don't think you'll even find anyone that will talk to you about it for less than that.

I already got a replacement, it was 15.00, not 8.50, but not bad. I was mainly just curious what failed and why.

What were the symptoms of your failed ECM .I have a strange random missing that is giving me trouble, gone through a ton of things so far.Just curious if the ECM needs to be looked at also.Do you guys know what years are good for a '90 w/ auto.I should probably be looking at the wrecking yard for a spare anyways.
