View Full Version : Need some steel. Where to order?

I need some .75 x 1.5" steel tube. The place in town will only sell full lengths of the stuff. I only need about 36". Any places on line I can find it? I alreadry tried onlinemetals.com, I didnt see any there. Thanks

you will probably get a better deal just buying the 20ft section. IIRC, i recently bought 20ft of 2x2 .120 wall for$45. you'pay $10+ just for shipping a small piece. You can never have too much scrap steel for projects!

sorry thought you were local. I agree with Sean though the shipping gets out of hand pretty quick sometimes.

gauge doesn't much matter. Just making one of these. Got everything flipped, just need to find some steel, weld it up, drill it and silicone everything.
