Looks like most of us can make it December 6th..where? I'm coming from the southwest, so would PREFER SLCish..but..up to the majority. Any time in the Afternoon..takes me two hours to get to SLC, and I don't get off work til 7 am on saturdays, and I KNOW you guys want me to shower first.

Yeah, I guess we should nail down a time and place. I'm thinking afternoon sometime. I know bigjoe works on Saturdays but says he could make it in the afternoon with advance notice.
Jerry up north offered his school in Brigham City for a meeting place. That's fine with me but I know that makes for a very long drive for some.
How about meeting at 1:30pm on the 6th?

Time sounds good to me, we need to hear from those that are "morning or weekend impaired" on this.
As for the location, Jerry is very generous to offer the school shop as a meeting sight, but that's a long drive for the Utah Co and West desert crowd, unless we can get him to buy us all lunch at Maddox?:D...............where is halfway? Ogden? Layton?, Centerville?, Bountiful?
Joe, next thing you know we'll have poll to see where the meeting should be..........now, why didn't you think of that?;)

The 6th sounds good.....the time is good......and the location (Brigham, Layton, Clearfield) doesn't matter. I work @ Hill AFB so I'll be close no matter where you have it. Maybe we can rotate it so that everyone will eventually have a drive to get there.
This time have it in Brigham since we already have an offer for a meeting place. Then the next meeting let's change it so it's closer for another group of people.
Just a thought!
Later,
Joe:)

Okay, if the offer is still good with the school location, how about some directions? Saturday 6th Dec, 1330 hrs is good for some..perhaps another meet/greet for those who can't make it this one, if needed. We just got some new members (checked Utah members list), so that's good.
Sorta off topic..if anyonewho is gonna be there is involved in Toys for Tots, lemme know..I have a couple games I can donate. (Life, Yatzee). Used once. Long story.. Silly poomba, chix are for kids!

I am e-mailing Jerry right now to make sure the 6th at 1330 is still good for him. After I get the okay, I'll send out a group e-mail to all the Utah contingent with the details as well as driving directions. Those of you not on my e-mail list, I'll post the details here also. Stay tuned.

I'd like to see it about 1500-1530 {let's see if my military calculations are right........hhhh....mmmmmm.....is that 3:00-3:30 to the business world? :D :D }........Brigham would be cool with me, as I'll be in Kaysville until 2:00ish.......umm....1400 hrs
Turner, Maddox should be a deductible expense........someone needs a phone system, I'm sure....:D

C'mon Marc, Brigham City is only 30 minutes from Kaysville. How about 2:30 'ish? If you're going to be in Kaysville, lets convoy out there. MattVW65 is in Layton and bigjoe is at Hill so they could probably meet somewhere near here. Turner and Dan are in Ogden so we could meet up with them on the way.

I want everyone to be there, but if we start pushing 3 pm..along with the length of the meeting..that's gonna be an all day'er for us, with little sleep for the drive home... first few minutes will prolly be milling around anyway, so transit time won't be a complete loss, will it? Can we shoot for 1400/1430, and fill in any late arrivals? If we're nominating, people need to know that ahead of time..and that can take place near the end of the event.

Nominations will more than likely be done on the forum, the meet and greet is more to meet everyone, put faces with screen names and discuss the future of NAXJA on a local level.
The Toys 4 Toys idea is a good one, we can start things off right.

Agreed, I just wanted to nail that down. My communication skills fall apart after a shift, looks like ;) Either way, we'll have time to talk things over, get a feel for what our focus is..who has an agenda they're pushing..and frankly, who has the time/energy to devote to what we all agree is important. Still hoping for a meeting earlier rather than later, in the afternoon, but can adjust, either way. Kay, will quit spamming the boards..just interested in how this is gonna go...:gag:

It's only about 30 minutes from Kaysville, but family things have a way of dragging out sometimes........I'd get there whenever I could, but 1330 hrs seemed a little early.
Plus, if Turner is buying us dinner so he can bribe us for a presidential nomination, I want to be hungry. :D :D :D :D

Since you have plenty of spare time.......you'll be getting my Pres nomination....with whipped cream on top! I say we meet at a Non-Food serving establishments to eliminate this kind of cuisinal bribery........think about this for a moment, you are willing to sellout your vote to food, which will eventually become...........
This effectively makes your vote equal to........poop?:D

That's an accurate assumption......:D :D :D :D............I do have plenty of spare time, but don't know exactly where I'll be in the near future. I might have to drive 8-10 hours to attend a meeting........probably not an effective governing member.

Okay, WHERE are we meeting, WHEN are we greeting, are we eating, let's end this bleating! Kay, too much overtime, and putting on a wilderness bumper instead of sleeping..but I need to know, so lets nail this down and move on it. :pig:
PS, anyone want a trailer hitch that I took off my stock rear bumper? I guess it's (Class 3?) bolt on heavier duty bracket receiver (rusty, needs paint, from a 89). I'm too tired to remember the exact name for it. I can bring it, if anyone wants it. Don't think it has any drop in the hitch to it. weighs, I dunno..20 pounds, altogether, with the ball and all that.

I thought it was decided to meet at the Maddox restuarant just south of Brigham City on Dec. 6 at 1500 hours........no wait, make that 1330 hours.......er, um........let's try 1400.....or better yet 1430.
If we plan to eat while there, then perhaps we should schedule the meat & eat, ugh, I mean MEET & GREET to coincide with either lunch or dinner time. I like to stay regular.:D

So what time is everyone going to meet at?? (3pm or later is better for me.)
What's the address of the Maddox restuarant and directions on how to get there from the Interstate?

Just so everyone knows, the meeting place is still in the air. I haven't heard back from Jerry in Brigham City yet, perhaps he's on vacation, and XJEEPER has a buddy at Cutrubus in Layton who may be able to get us the conference room at the dealership. Even though the place hasn't been decided, be sure that we will be meeting "somewhere" on Dec. 6th at about 2:00 or so so keep that day open. When I have something definite, I'll send out a group e-mail and post it here so check back periodically.

I think a monthly showing in Moab, will show the unity of our group and our commitment to the communities by buying gas, parts, hotel rooms, camp space, beer. and what a positive aspect we bring to the table. :us:
