Does anyone know?

Not quite ready

2 of the 4 main roads are open but there has been looting and they are not really prepared for visitors yet. I would wait a couple more weeks.

I cruised up to Crab Flats on Sunday (had to get out and play in the snow/mud). It looks like the campground is a bit singed, but for the most part everything is standing. There was one part on the road where you can get a pretty good view to the west, and it looks like pretty much everything west of Crab Flats was gone. I didn't go on any of the trails since I was alone, but it didn't look like they were blocked off or anything. I'd be interested in doing an exploratory run up there one of these days.

Lets go!

When and were? For your info, I work the next 24 days straight with only sundays off.

Deep Creek? I wonder how that brand new bridge held up in the fire? I'm still upset they took the creek crossing out of the deep creek trail, lol.

I hope that damn bridge melted away! :D I hate that thing too, I could drive my neighbors mini van through there now:rolleyes:

MJR and I were just up Gold Mtn and 1/2 of John Bull today. Things seemed business as normal. Along the 330 is where you saw a lot of the crispiness. The back side seems to be OK now.

FWD:

I'm not sure if you still need the
current OHV information from me.

So, just in case, here it is.

SBNF OHV (green/red sticker vehicles) areas open to the public:

From Crab Flats to Big Piine Flats is open (using 3N16).

Horse Spring Campground and adjacent OHV routes are open.

White Mountain (3N17) is open.

John Bull Trail (3N10) is open.

Cactus Flats Staging Area and the adjacent trail system is open.

Baldy Mesa trail system is open.

All OHV routes in the San Jacinto Ranger District are open.

All of the connecting 4x4 routes (street legal only) within these areas are
open as well.

The Pinnacles Staging Area and adjacent OHV trails around Lake Arrowhead
are closed as well as Cleghorn Ridge.

I hope you have a much deserved wonderful vacation!!

Take care, Greg.
