I had read an article that you could put Grand Cherokee front
coil spring under the front of a Cherokee and that it would give you about a 1/4 inch of lift. I was just wondering if that was true
and if it was the new Grands (99-2004 or the older body style. Any help would be appreciated.

Well RE 4.5" ZJ coils net about 5.5" - 6" on an XJ. I think you can get about an 1.5" from stock ZJ coils on your XJ. Also I would think that would be from a ZJ with the V8. (?) Anybody else?

I am running 11/2 inch lift blocks in the rear and when I put ZJ coils up front it leveled it out I think they are giving me at least an inch of lift. I think they came off a 4.0l ZJ though if you get them out of one with a bigger engine they might give you more lift. Either way they flex well and I've put them through a good amount of abuse good springs I say.
