ZJ rear torque specs

Dad-in-law just called looking for the torque specs for the rear main carrier bearings cap bolts, and the pre-load for the side bearings.

He's got a '96 Grand with the Chrysler rear, and, even though my Chiltons "says" it covers all models up to '96, it doesn't even make mention of the Chrysler rear in the drive-train section.

Any info appreciated, Hamilton.

it calls for 70 on ring bolts and 70 on the caps.

no clue on that pre load.

If it is a 96 Grand, it does NOT have a Chrysler Rear..

If it is a I6 model, it has the D35C

If it is the V8 model it has the aluminum D44
