XJ D30/WJ D30 are the gears the same??

I have a set of 4.56s from out of a friend's WJ Dana 30. I'm planning to install them until I can get the new axles built so I will have 4wd back(4.56s are already in the rear). Then I heard something about long and short pinions etc. The XJ 30 is an '01 and the gears came from a '00 WJ 30. Will these gears work?? Thanks

P.S. Both are obviously low pinion

Call a parts place and get part numbers on both applications to see if they're the same. Don't know if the late model D30's that went back to low pinion are the same.
