Rattling

Hello All,
I've got a really annoying rattle that I can't seem to pinpoint. It seems that when I'm in drive but stopped a rattle seems to be coming from under/near the shifter in my 95 XJ Sport auto. I was playing around with it and found that if I put the Jeep in Neutral or in Neutral and back to Drive, the noise goes away. It almost seems to make me think it's the shift linkage, but I was under my Jeep the other day cleaning the neutral safety switch but couldn't find anything that was loose. Any ideas?? Thanks!

Press down on the transfer case lever next time it does it.

If the tranny support cushion on the cross member is collapsing (which they all do, eventually), the exhaust pipe may be hitting the frame.
