NO Volts!! (according to dash)

Okay. Im just working the bugs out of this old 85 cherokee.

No volts according to the gauge. It is pegged below zero with no movement.

I know there is a charge coming from the alternator because I have a strong battery every time I start it, and have no headlight flicker.

Is there something I can check (or should check) on or around my alternator? Is there a fuse somewhere that I should check?

So is everything working properly? If your Jeep is starting and running fine than it sounds like a bad guage. Easy to swap one in and out. Check out my guage insert write up here, it bascially tells you how you can swap out guages:

That solved the problem. Well, actually three problems by just switching out my guage cluster entirely. My old cluster was the GIGANTOR GAS GUAGE cluster. So, I traded for a tach cluster. Very smooth now. Have a tach, have a working volt guage, and also have more accurate coolant temperature readings.
