Friend has a 97 XJ and is thinking of running 35's. Probably Claws IIRC. What issues will he run into? 4.0L, AW-4, 231, 8.25, D30HP! Was thinking of running 4.10 or 4.56. His lift will be somwhere in the neighborhood of 6"! I told him to get the sazall out. Any other thoughts guys?

For gears, don't go any higher than 4.56's, I go with 4.88's actually... if they make 4.88's for the 8.25" that is...

Otherwise sounds like a good plan... 6" lift, 35's, then cut out the fenders to fit. That's basically my setup. RE 5.5" kit, 35" MT/R's, and Bushwacker flares.

He'll have to do an SYE of course, and he'll want to get a heavy-duty tierod.

One problem

Deepest gears for an 8.25 is 4.56, and they are usually not quiet.
PM Ary about his trials with his 8.25 Chryco.

Didn't Ary get his used?

But I think a axle swap would be better IMHO! Or keep it at 33's
