i got mine from tellico4x4.com, however i didnt like the service from them at all. beezil has a better source for the rebuild kits.

are you sure you need a rebuild and not just a chain? thats all i needed, but went ahead with the complete rebuild. the wide chain is pricey i can say that. call up DC in Roanoke for the tera 2 lo kit im sure his prices will beat anybodys. thats where everyone around here has been buying their tera low 4:1's. his # is 540-890-3335. tell him i sent ya

Thanks Hunter, I'll give him a call. How much does the wide chain run? If it is to much, I'll use a new stock one, old one lasted this long.
The chain is stretched and the front and rear seals are leaking along with a couple other leaks. Figured with over 200,000 miles on it I better go ahead and do a rebuild.
No Moab for me, the new job killed that plan. Did ya see my new daily driver? If not do a search under JnJ and check it out.

i want to say the wide chain kit was about 3-400 bucks, but it was last christmas when i was deep into all of it. oh yeah the blue rtv will not seal atf, the black stuff is the best but you probably already know that. i saw that new daily driver, you deffinately have an understanding wife and some jealous kids!

Doesn't Beezil alway's recomend National Drivetrain. I can't remember who he said to talk to. I bought my rebuild kit that included a stock chain, bearings, and seals for about $150.

Since I doubt he's back from Moab yet I guess I'll fill in. Do a search! :D

I wouldn't bother with the wide chain. By the time you pay for the wider gears to match the chain and the 2 low kit you dumping a bunch of money that could go to other things or a better case. Pretty sood you'll wan't a 4:1 or something and then you now you should have waited and bought an atlas. :)

I think the tail shaft, unless it's the HD short shaft version, will let go long before the chain. Even as a wear item.

Full of opinions tonight.

So where did you get yours for $150? BTW, I do have the HD short shaft on it. :)

It was just my local 4x4 shop. I don't know who they were buying from at the time and they have been bought out and the people I dealt with are gone.

It was a new process kit but the input shaft seals were garbage anyway (forgot about it). They lasted two weeks and started leaking so I had to pull the case and replace them again.

Sorry I couldn't be more help. I rebuilt my about five years ago.
