Thanks, everyone for trying to get through the vote process of the last thread to change the Bylaws. With that in mind, If anything discussed in this thread needs to go to motion/vote, please start another thread for that specific purpose. Leave discusions for other threads, it sure has confused me.
I like what Goatman had brought up in the ammendment thread, simply keep it simple.
I like the idea of a BBQ fund raiser/ Fund Raising Run. I still like the flat fee idea. Maybe someone can donate (Garry's D44 w/ARB for example) we can raffle off to not only SC but NAXJA wide. Of cousre this might invole the blessing for the NAXJA BOD.

Once a year we get together for a big run, with as many people attending as possible.
When everyone is assembled in camp, the fund raising starts:
For every BudLite I consume, everyone in attendance puts one dollar into the pot. If I puke before I finish a whole case, I put $50 in. I f I don't puke, everyone puts in an extra $10.
I'm taking my life in my hands for the Chapter, now that's love.

P.S. I'm not buying the beer, that will have to come out of club funds.

I didn't puke. I NEVER puke.
You know me, I can't drink beer due to my eating handicap, but I'm up for it with an entire box of Franzia. I get to pick the flavor.

A BBQ would be a lot of fun. This is what we need to expose the club and hopefully gain a reputaion for a group to wheel with.

BBQ sounds great to me to. Simple (thanks Goatman), good food, maybe throw in some door prizes. :D
Even though the drinking idea could probably generate a lot of money, In reguard to liitle ones(kids), could be done after/later hours of the BBQ or a big run. You guys are adults and have the choice to act any way you want to. Otherwise, thanks for all the input.

Why not go 1 better.... I was the Activities director for Capital City Mopars for 3 years. My job was to expose the club to the general public in the form of activities. Some of my best functions were show and shine type events at local parts stores like Kragens. We could do one without the shine 8)
We would set up our cars in the parking lot, People would come and buy hot dogs and soda check out the rides, Kragens would kick down prizes, The club would pick up new members and we would make some money.
I HAVE NEVER SEEN A 4X4 ONLY TYPE OF SHOW AND SHINE. We could host one, set up the XJ's in a cool display, then open it up to all 4x4's and sell lots of dogs and soda. I could make certificates for the best Jeep, ford, chevy and so on.
Let me know if it's something worth planning,we could set this up in for April 12th or 19th. Initial cost would be less than 75.00 for dogs and soda. Smart and Final is down the street from Kragens If we run low we go buy more. If we want to charge 5.00-10.00 for outside 4x4's to be in it we could give a portion of the reg. fees to a charity which would make the club look better in the public eye.we could set this up in for April or May.
Food for thought. :D

I can see a lot of post for the BBQ Fundraiser idea, maybe incorporated with fundraising fun and games (Crash&Lupine).
So, does anyone have a nice back yard, pool or know of a good park. Anyone be willing to host the event? My backyard sucks, looks a lot like my Jeep. If someone does want to take on the event, they will have the final say on the ground rules of the event.

I'd love to host it but I don't think all you guys would fit into my apartment. :( I need a house. What I really need is a garage. I could sleep in the garage.:D

Do we need to vote on this?
If we did decide to throw this fundraising BBQ, does it require a vote from the members or can we just pick a date and palce and have a
