Dim Interior Lights

I just got a 2000 XJ Limited and I noticed that the interior lights seam real dim. It doesn't matter if the XJ is running or off. I was just wondering if it is normal.

Even the vanity mirror lights are dim?

Check your body-to-engine ground, and run a dedicated ground from the neg batt terminal to the inner fender.

there should be a dimmer switch for your lights turn it and they get briter. My 91 xj's dimmer switch is the head light switch, all i have to do is turn the switch.

try opening a passenger's side door (does that make a difference?)

The ground for the lamp switch and the driver's side pins is behind the body panel under your fixed rear window (right behind the inside spare tire top mount) - it's worth checking as this is also the ground for your fuel pump --

I'll check the ground and what you suggested Satan. Thanks for the tips. I'll let you know what I find.
