How much power does a stock 2001 XJ's alternator put out?

I don't really have the answer to your question but I wouldn’t think it would be that high. There are different sizes for different option packages. I bought a replacement at Napa and it’s a 100amp its the only one they had to fit my jeep (87) they tend to just carry the highest output that was ever used so they don't have to stock all sizes. I here if you go to the stealership they can print you a copy of the original specs from your SN and that should have the alt size.
