has any one ever checked there timming on there xj. yesterday i was looking at mine and it read 16 deg. advanced at 640 rpm. is this nomal?
 
Timing is controlled by the CPS and ECU. It is not adjustable in the field.
 
i know i cant adjust it but is that nomalor could the dist be off?
