It will someday, mine fought me every step of the way too, Since I didn't take the shift lever arm from the old tranny it all didn't line up right So I ground the slotted washer off the arm, bolted in on and lined it all up and welded it in place, much easier than screwing around with that hoaky adjustment garbage in the linkage. I also had to fix the stinking shifter cable with a rod end, a set screw and some JB weld, Because those nylon ends are week. For some reason my speedo doesn't work, but hey I can drive it down the road and its vibe free baby!

Did you get those stinking hydralic lines attatched?

Did you take the NSS off or just disconnect the wiring harness? If you took it off, you need to line it up perfectly with the vertical line that is on the switch. A quick test it to put it in reverse and see if the reverse lights come on.

I kinda have the same problem!! No reverse lights most of the time, and I have to jiggle the shifter for it to start. Where is the NSS?

NSS is the 3" metal box that attaches to the pass side of the AW4. There is a bolt at around 3 oclock position that you loosen and rotate the whole unit until the vertical line is true.

www.jeepin.com has a write up with pictures.
