Well, here goes... Putting an unflipped 300 in the jeep, with passenger drop waggy 44. The question is. I have heard talk of a 5 on 4.5 front 44(NOT RUBY!) Anybody know what its from? If I can convert to it? Any thoughts? Thanks, Dave

Might try late model TTB Ferd outers. I have NO idea if they'll fit or if they're 5 x 4.5, but I do know that they're 5 lug and use a D44 center & locking hub.

To the best of my knowledge, the hub assembly of a 44 will not fit through the hole of a 5x4.5" wheel.
The Ford hub swap gives you a 5x5.5" bolt pattern. (But that's hubs from an 85ish ford, not a late model)
At least that's what i have found while building up mine.....
There may be some way to modify the 44 knuckle to fit a stock outer shaft and unitbearing, but then, why swap in a 44 if your going to do that.....

There were some fulltime front 44's in dodges with 5 on 4.5" but that is exactly what you will get, fulltime hubs. And there is no conversion kit available.
