I just picked up a RCD60 froma 79 F350. I was wondering how the hub comes apart from the rotor. I took out all the internals of the hub and I have just the Hub and Rotor stuck together. I also knocked out the wheel studs. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, Justin:confused:

There is a ring that runs around the inside edge of the rotor hub that must be removed in order to take the rest of the hub out, are you trying to remove the rotor itself from the hub ?

Yes I am trying to remove the rotor from the hub.

when new they just slide onto the back of the hub and the lugs when pressed in hold it together, but they get rusty and then you have to press the rotor back off the hub after removing the studs, some people just pound them off but I would not suggest it

Thanks for the help. I am sure I will be asking more questions in the future:D

The job is easily done with a special removal tool...

If a BFH breaks it, then wheelin' will break it.
