Hey guys, I know there are a million threads out there about backspacing, I have read through a lot of them! I just bought a set of 285/75R16 (33x11.5) and want to buy rims now. I have learned from countless threads that I want to be around 4"-4.5" of backspacing which is great! But which is it 4" or 4.5"? I want to get this right since I don't believe in spacers, so tell me what backspacing are you running with your 33x11.5 tires with no rubbing! Btw, I'm running 4" of lift and the rims I'm buying will be 16x8.

Ive been running 16x8 TJ Moab wheels for over a decade with 285's (now 295 KO2s) and run a 1.25" billet wheel adapter, which nets me 3.75" BS. (5" BS -1.25" =3.75" BS)

5.5" lift with Bushwhacker Flat Flares

My tire size (33x10.5) is close to what you want to use. With my 3.75 inch backspace, I have no rubbing issues with my two inch lift and WJ lower control arms, appropriately bumpstopped and trimmed.

Without the benefit of knowing what you have for control arms, my best guess is that if you went with the 4.5 backspace, you would have some rubbing issues on your LCA's.
